A few handmade projects to give the room soul and a few things that are bought, hung up, and then done make a room feel just right.. 3).
It really just would not have been able to come together quite as nicely without that rug!.If you’d like to get to know Rugs USA a little more as well, you can follow them on.
Coming up soon (I hope!): A new bedside table to replace the little white one and some fun projects in the corner where the bassinet will go once the new baby boy gets here!Oh my goodness, did Kennedy ever love making these! She was still talking about how fun these were to make a week after they were done, so I knew I had a winning craft on my hands.. OK, so they’re not really the cutest things ever, but they definitely won me some “fun mom points” and that counts for something.
I’m always on the lookout for fun, relatively easy crafts that we can make together, and if it involves recycled materials, all the better!.Here’s how we made them:.
We started out by making the base out of newspaper, packing tape, and a couple of sticks from the yard.. We scrunched and wrapped the paper in tape around the stick until we had a pumpkinish shape..
If you’re having trouble locating the pumpkin shape in this picture, don’t worry. They have real down inserts and they were a huge splurge for me.
Luckily I had a gift card or else we would not be here enjoying them together..This is how the dining room table looks right now.. A little egg tower I made last year.
I just don’t have that kind of patience for long-term crafting this year with all these boxes left to be unpacked and organized, so I’m glad it survived and I can still use it!.Of course Kennedy and I made a trip to Dollarama over Spring Break.. You can see here where my cardboard box basket thing ended up.
